Description

What I love about the Xesta range of jigheads is their deliberate and thoughtful designs. Believe it or not, the shape of a jighead can have quite a massive effect on how it sinks - which itself can determine how many fish you catch on any given day. Get it right and you'll catch more and bigger fish. Get it wrong and you could easily be left fishless. The Diver Down is designed to sink in a straight line, vertically. Many angled shape heads will either sink at an angle (in one direction or another from where they start), or spiral as they fall. The Diver Down sinks straight! Where this mostly comes in to play is when you are fishing very close to structure (i.e. harbour walls etc.). A spiralling jighead can catch the wall on its way down, or land too far off the wall and out of the catch zone. A gliding jighead will do the same. The Diver Down will go straight where you want it though - close! The other scenario that especially suits this one is when you are fishing close to the bottom. The rounded nose bounces its way purposefully and accurately along the bottom, again sinking in a straight line following any twitches or movements. A really accurate jighead to use for specific applications. An additional benefit to these is the great range of weights they cover. There aren't many high quality jighead manufacturers out there that can boat 4g heads on a size 6 hook! For many people just wanting to try LRF for the first time (perhaps before having bought themselves a dedicated LRF rod), the Diver Down gives you more comfortable options. It's important to feel in control. For more experienced angler, this range means that you can still fish small lures in rougher conditions - by using more weight! 4 per pack.
