9' Lure Rod

I am SERIOUSLY impressed with these rods! A totally new product like this is always a bit of an unknown, but in this case I'm really glad that I've actually had a proper chance to fish with a prototype for the past few weeks.

There's no question that this rod (and the 8 footer) really is a proper, proper all-rounder! Whether you want to sling hard baits over the reef, or bounce soft lures over the sand, it'll do it. Fast-actioned with plenty of power lower down, it certainly has a softer tip than most other rods I've tried in the same price and casting brackets. Rated to 60g, I reckon it'll also happily fish jigheads down to somewhere around 7g plus bait. The tip feels so smooth as it bends, I think I actually love it! It's hard to describe, but I think that this 9 footer just about wins my 'favourite of the range' award!

Much like the Anyfish Anywhere range of beach rods, these rods are brilliant value for money! I'm really happy that there are more rods turning up in this price range. It used to be a game of going 'budget' or 'top dollar'. Not any more...!

NB: For anybody who's unsure, these rods are completely different to the previous AFAW 'Lure & Bait'' rods. They're not an upgrade, but a completely new range of top class, dedicated UK plugging rods.
