The smaller of our two dedicated LRF lure sets, these ones will be amazing once the water starts to cool! Containing, again, a mix of soft baits, suitable jigheads and a couple of scent capsules, it's such a perfect little pack!

Baits included are:

• Ecogear Grass Minnow SS - a 1.5'' paddle tail bait, fish it with a casual lift and fall, or a slow straight retrieve. Don't over do it.
• Ecogear Power Shirasu in 2 colours (pearl and pink) - a 2'' slim bait with a small ball at the end of its whippy tail to maximise momentum and movement.

Jigheads are actually 5 of the superb quality Ecogear Shirasu heads (0.9g and 1.8g), designed for swimming baits and the 'cast and retrieve' technique mentioned below.

This is what the Japanese say about them: (bear in mind that 'rockfish' to us can mean anything from wrasse to pollack, to bream to gobies, rockling and even flatfish. In fact, absolutely any species you care to mention! Gone are the days when bait was a necessity for hunting mini-species - you just need the right stuff for the job and experimenting with baits like these and seeing what is possible is about the most fun ever!)

The standard method for rockfish, is cast and retrieve. By changing your count or weight on the line you can adjust your fishing range, and narrow down on where the fish are hiding. When its hard to find where the rockfish are hiding, you can switch to a high appeal 'GRASS MINNOW' lure and cover a greater area in shorter time. Once you start getting bites on the line, switching over to a 'POWER SHIRASU' for hooking up the fish, will give you an effective means to increase your fishing success. The most important thing when going over Rockfish, is to have a lure that is stable in the water. Even if the worm is just set a little bit off it can not keep its stable form in the water. Also changing the weight on the jig head when fishing a range with rockfish, can be a very effective measure.
