Potential lure of the year?! I think so! The popularity of surface lures is evident everywhere in the UK at the moment. Some pop, some slide, walk the dog, even dive a bit. This one appears to be a simple popper from the outside, but it's waaaaaay more than that. It also walks the dog (similar to a Patchinko) with constant twitches and pauses. Pop, walk, whatever. It also casts Miiiiiles! We've been waiting for this new bigger version for ages and I'm so glad they're here at last!
The thing that initially strikes you about it is the design. Nories have created a series of lures which achieve a big 'presence' in the water due to their size and design, but maintain a silhouette. The trick is always to 'match the hatch', but with small lures this isn't always easy just because they lack the presence of bigger lures (i.e. the fish can't find them so easily - especially in rougher conditions). The 'Faint Bait' series - which includes the Treju's - are works of art and incorporate realistic fish patterns on the sides of mostly transparent lure bodies to give the impression of a small bait fish, but the presence of large one.
They have been designed with big fish in mind so certainly won't let you down. A through-centre wire ensures that there are no weak points, nd the hooks themselves are intentionally substantial! We've all had issues with lighter hooks in the past!
The bass are going to love these!
