Finally, a fluorocarbon mainline worth using! I've been using this stuff myself for the past few months with brilliant results. There are various reasons why a fluorocarbon mainline is well worth considering with LRF. On a slow, straight retrieve the direct contact of braid is not always a necessity and this could be considered a cheap alternative - depending on what you're doing. The small amount of stretch will also help to prevent hook pulls, and it's inherent weight will also allow for better use on windy days (we do get a few of those!). Obviously it's more abrasion resistent too.
Don't be afraid of going light with this stuff. Even 2lb will take some breaking (by a fish) on a suitably soft rod. Just make sure you remember the drop net if you plan on lifting lunkers up the harbour wall! The lighter you can go the better, but a range of 2, 3 and 4lb will suit all of the LRF folk.
