Description

The most superb of all soft bait materials, EcogearAqua is the lure range of the famous Marukyu Isome - made from the same materials but matched with more suitable lure shapes. Designed initially for the Australian bream market, as soon as we first got hold of some bream prawns a couple of years ago it was immediately evident how good they were. Bites on these things are WEIRD! Like nothing I've experienced before. And that's not sales talk, it really is weird. The truth is that quite often with these things you won't actually realise that a fish has even taken it until you lift the rod tip and all of a sudden realise that there is some resistance on the other end - FISH ON!!! I fish these most on standard jigheads. The TT HeadlockZ HD or TT Head Hunter in size #2 being the most perfect, but they also rig nicely on the Ecogear Skip in the Shade #2. I fish them a lot by whacking them out, letting them hit the bottom and then retrieving with a 'double-skip' motion, just twitching them up off of the sea bed. Takes will either be on the drop, or like I said above, just an increase in resistance signifying that the fish has already hooked itself. Suited to almost any species out there - far from just being a bream lure!
