I'm sure there will be heaps of brilliant new stuff from every quality brand on its way for 2012, but having had a preview of the 2012 Daiwa catalogue I'm hugely excited by what's coming! Granted, as a specialist shop I'd love for there to be more lure equipment coming in from abroad than there is, but it's great to see that things are at least moving in the right direction.

I won't go in to all the details right now, but some of their best moves are on the reel front. Having answered numerous questions in the shop over the past few months about whether we can get 'this' Japanese model, or 'that' one, in a couple of cases at least the answer will soon be 'YES'!!

The mag-sealed Certate's have gained themselves a massive reputation and it's good to see the same technology (and varieties of it) spreading down through the ranks in to some very much more affordable models. The prices are great too! Watch out particularly for the Caldia '12 (mag-sealed), the Ballistic and Theory (Euro version of the 'Freams'); both oil-sealed.
