There's something about Apia. When you pick an Apia rod from the rack in the shop, you can't help but feel how bombproof they feel. Just... solid. It's hard to describe, but there is probably no better built rod that's ever graced our walls. The AD's may be expensive, but the best will never come cheap. The AD range covers nearly everything, but what you notice about each model is how versatile they are. It's one of the things that you're paying for - rods that will fish the lower end of their rating just as well as the higher end. Then there are silly things like the style of the grip. Apia have gotten this just right and in my opinion make the best combination of features available today. Luxury, yes. But hellishly impressive with it.
Ben's an idiot so hasn't added a full category run-down yet. We're sure he'll get on it shortly.
