Apia Foojin'Z Flow Striker 93M
- Brand: Apia
Oh. My. Gosh. I wanted to see one of these in the flesh for a long time. It was worth the wait. I didn't know what to expect really. I assumed the rod would be super light but anything else was an absolute unknown.
They're not a cheap rod. Obviously the best never is. Surprisingly, the Foojin'Z probably doesn't feel like the lightest rod I've ever picked up, but it does feel one of the very, very, very best. Like the Foojin'AD below it. there's a massive amount of strength involved in the blank. It's hard to explain, and I'll be "touching wood" all over the place, but it's such a well built rod, I can't picture anybody picking one up and thinking it felt fragile. For all that strength though it maintains a definite edge of lightness and luxury - as you'd expect for the price range.
The tip section is longer than the butt - an attempt on Apia's part I think to ensure the action of the rod was absolutely perfect (bringing the joint closer to the angler, allowing the tip to do what it's designed for).
It's another rod that I am certain will do any bass fishing job you chuck at it. Just perfect.
